Stuttering picture from DigiTV generated mpg

I recorded a couple of programes last night via my Nebula DigiTV card
and discovered that if I watch them via DigiTV all is well, but if I
use MS media player they jerk and creep along.

Is there something strange or unusual about the codec used by DigiTV
to make that happen? Anybody else seen this effect?

Nebula are aware of this and have included a tool to convert their format
into standard DVD in earlier versions, and more recently have an option on
the Recordings tab of the Settings page, to record in DVD format.

A new version was released yesterday and can be downloaded from their
website.

Sounds about right for Micro$oft. Which of those is Bill Gates?

By default they are the raw MPEG2 as received over the air. If you
have a modern version of DigiTV then try enabling the "DVD Authoring
Tool Compatible" setting under Recording (but be prepared for problems
with "five" even with their latest software).
or ... look for some other codecs for MS that can handle the format
(MPEG2 Transport Stream).
I understand that the codecs with Elecard and PowerDVD work.
