I live in doncaster (balby to be exact), but my aerial is pointing at emley
moore. I get a lot of squeeks in the sound on freeview, and the picture
breaks
up every few minutes. would it be better if the aerial pointed at
sheffield
instead? sheffield isn't as far away as emley moore.

Depends which part of Balby you are on about

Try both Emley Moor and Belmont.

When I am out in the caravan I, if possible, take the Wolfbane printouts
and look at the direction of the local aerials. I have been in a place
where four *large* aerials on four houses all pointed in diferent
directions. I tried each direction in turn until one half way worked.
