Hi DswtF, You seeem to have overlooked the Hauppage DEC1100-T (50 quid in Boots). I can't find it. Have you seen it on their website? Neat little box with strange Scart facility (D socket with an addaptor cable to link to the TV. It also had coax S?PDIF and 3.5mm analogue stereo out. External power supply. Can be mounted verticaly or horizontally (base for vertical use included. I got one for my mother yesterday. Very simple set-up proceedure (no need to open the instructions). No USB, by the way. Oh, and a bit like the Philips, you can flip between radio and tv with a single button press. Sounds alright; £50 for a Freeview receiver with S/PDIF certainly aint bad. I'll add it if someone can find it! :) -- Steve - www.digitalradiotech.co.uk - Digital Radio News & Info Freeview receivers price comparison - http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/fr..._receivers.htm DAB radios price comparison - http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/da...tal_radios.htm |

You're certainly correct as regards satellite receivers. The digital receiver ("Porty", made in China) included in LiDL's camping set earlier this year does not provide RGB on its Scart connector. -- Richard L. |

It was in WH Smith. Boots had a Panasonic DVD Recorder at £199. I have only actually seen, and bought, the device in the local shop itself. Will check thier website. |

The one I bought (same model number) definitely has one, clearly marked and situated centrally on the back panel. I have not used the S/PDIF (it was bought for my 82 year old mother, who is nervous about using it). The S/PDIF out is also clearly illustrated on the box, complete with connecting link marked "Digital Audio (optionl)", but as I say, the one I bought definitely has the socket. It's also mentioned, without any mention of it being optional, in the specification in the manual, which also shows it in the illustrations therein. |

I've added a page to my website with the prices at the main online retailers of all Freeview receivers (apart from a couple like the Nokia 121T and Philips DTR100, which aren't price-competitive). Thought you might be interested for your web pages. I've not seen this one mentioned in these forums before - but I had an email from Showshifter saying that they support it (offering card plus remote plus Showshifter for 129.99 USD) DVB-S http://www.vboxcomm.com/product1.htm DVB-T http://www.vboxcomm.com/product2.htm (page 3 is for USA) Israeli company - and the UK contact number appears to be a mobile phone number! http://www.vboxcomm.com/sales.htm -- Rgds Paul Webster |

The page mentions PC software, but it's reported elsewhere that the card will also be offered with the Mac PowerBook software by www.elgato.com -- Richard L. |
