It seems to happen in certain circumstances. Several users have
apparently found those circumstances make the fault reproducible, and
avoiding them prevents the issue.

Are Humax even aware of the
problem?

I get this defect too. But I can reproduce. Can anyone help with the hints
to stop it happening

I also get a similar problem where it only records a fragment of the
scheduled program

Not complaining, I still think its a great box. Wishes would be:

1) PinP for the menu's
2) Schedule overlap
3) Ethernet or USB for web access(dreaming I guess)

It is not trivial, last night I missed a recording because a previous
programme had recorded for over 800 minutes and the disk was full.

I think (though I haven't done much research) that the only times it
has happened to me is if I have used timeshifting live TV while
recording. I tend to just leave it alone when recording now and
haven't had a problem since.
