I think (but can't confirm because I'm using a pre-historic On Digital box) it has moved to Mux A or D ? Whatever mux it has moved to, there is intermittent break up of the signal. As no other DTT transmission is suffering break up, I can only assume there's a fault with the transmission, rather than my reception. Of course nobody (including myself) watches the channel, so this problem is of purely academic interest :-) (Tx Hannington) I'm off to watch some paint drying now. Price-Drop has moved from Mux 2 to Mux A. However it has kept it's logical Channel number (24) which could be the source of confusion. That was why specific instructions said not to rescan until October 1st, I think. This frees up a slot on Mux 2 for ITV3 but the Logical Channel Number has not been announced AFAIK. 13 seems most likely but 9 would be better if the teletext service occupying that LCN was reallocated. -- Richard Watkinson Treasurer Sheffield Folk Festival http://www.sheffieldfolkfestival.org/ Join the RSPB today |

I think I saw somewhere while Googling for the information above that ITV3 has a budget a quarter of that of ITV2. We should not expect too much I suppose. Oh Calamity. There'll be no chance then of genuine ITV drama classics, such as Granada's epic, Family At War [1], and LWT's Dennis Potter season ? Not that anyone running ITV has the attention span to appreciate programming like that; perhaps BBC 4 will show them instead. [1] To be fair this was actually shown by Granada Plus back in 1997. |

Without citing sources, a report in Media Guardian says that ITV chairman Charles Allen "is understood" to have reached the decision to alter plans that would have launched the station as a subscription-only service." Seeing as 4 Arabic channels up in the 800's have just be removed that argument doesnt hold water any longer. However, no doubt their epg slots would have to be re-allocated on the basis of the next 4 channels waiting to launch rather than just handing them over to itv. )There does seem to be a software problem with the digiboxes with respect to the number of channels it can handle, Im not disputing that - apparently new software will be run out later in the year then a whole host of dire new services will be able to appear) -- Ross Lockley Galashiels www.analoguesat.co.uk www.digitalsat.co.uk "Sender" and "From" addresses are spam trapped. I'm sure I've seen the details somewhere but it wasn't where I thought (the DTG site). They do have a website though after googling: http://www.teleg.co.uk/ They apparently transmit from 6-7pm every day. I don't think there's much on there that hasn't already been shown on BBC Scotland or STV/Grampian. Stewart -- You are about to enter... The Scary Door... |
