Quote:-

"ITV3, the new classic drama, movie and entertainment channel from ITV,
is now expected to launch as a free-to-air channel - and therefore to appear
on Freeview in addition to satellite and cable.

Without citing sources, a report in Media Guardian says that ITV chairman
Charles Allen "is understood" to have reached the decision to alter plans
that would have launched the station as a subscription-only service."

Except that Sky claim there are no spare EPG slots available, so the
D-Sat launch will be delayed.

I also was thinking that, what channel could itv3 be on? bbc3's 7
unfortunately, so unless they could fiddle that about, which they wouldn't
anyway, it'll end up farrrr away from itv2 and itv1, aw shame. More 'a touch
of frost' - woo!

I'm sure there'll be another "celebrity" reality show along soon, until then
here's 24 hours of laughing at the rubbish singers on X-Factor... They
definitely need a new series of Harry Hill's TV Burp.

Ah, the fabled series 1.

See ITV1 favourites like The Bill, Parkinson and Heartbeat repeated
the same night.

Parky's on at 10 at night, the only way to show that repeated the same night
would be to do a +1 type setup.

So we'll get "The Bill" at 2000 on ITV1 followed by "Inside The Bill" at
2100 on ITV2 and then "The Making of Inside The Bill" on ITV3 at 2200.
Now if they did something decent like some proper motorsport coverage I'd
probably watch but at the moment it looks like ITV3 will be joining ITV2 and
ftn on the 'to be watched' list just after the paint drying.

Ch 9 makes sense, it follows with 3 and 6.

I think I saw somewhere while Googling for the information above that ITV3
has a budget a quarter of that of ITV2. We should not expect too much I
suppose.

Ch 9 is currently Teletext. Ch 8 appears to be unused.
