No, that was Auction World TV, on $ky. Price Drop TV have been offering Globes
recently at a fantastically high guide price. I saw the same product in Costco
last week for about £41 plus VAT.


But the globes do show what the world will look like after being hit by another
planet.
I think those that cut out the shapes of the countries, must work in the dark.

The thing about these auction sites is that the things they sell are either
'exclusive' to them, i.e. they can put whatever guide price they like on, or
the item is only available from other auction tv/ web sites. The whole thing
is a scam.

Whoever buys theses tacky things obviously have far too much money and so

the stupid - they have replaced Ratners.

If their profits replaced the license fee everyone would be happy!

As far as the Bid-up and Price-drop ugly sisters go, you're probably right,
but just occasionally (well, twice) I've turned to QVC and found something I
really wanted, that I would've bought anyway, and after checking prices
everywhere they've been the cheapest. Not only that, but their service is
first rate.

I think there's a place for QVC. But the other shopping channels are just
wasting valuable space. And the trouble is that they'll go on and on as long
as there's a chav out there who still needs a 9ct gold curb chain.

I wouldn't know. After having shopping channels available on my STB fro
a week or so when I bought it I came to the conclusion that no sane
person could ever watch that crap and removed them from the list of
available channels.

True enough. But the two things I have bought were available elsewhere and
they were definitely cheaper. QVC is okay.
