Keywords: plasma, pc, vga, dvi and componenent output?
Has anyone connected a PC-box to a low-res plasma (852x480) *similar* to
this: * PC has a ATI radeon 9800 gfx card (DVI-I, s-video and a VGA output) * Connect a (ATI) DVI to component adapter on the gfx-card DVI port. * Component cables going from the card/adapter output to the plasma TV's component input. How poor is the image compared to hooking to VGA directly to the plasma? (The Panasonic 42" plasma does have VGA on the FRONT, which however looks AWFUL for any permanent installation..plus negates the niceness of using a component-video-switching-capable AVR/receiver) //jk -- Every day above ground is a good day |
