Anyone know anything about this? The pace website is still advertising
August's update, but the dtg website says there is a new version coming
from Thursday next week.

Don't worry about it. Pace's own website is always the last one
to show this kind of update detail.

Pace have sent round an email saying:
________________
The next new download is scheduled to start broadcasting at 10am on
Thursday
the 23rd of September and subject to broadcast conditions, will continue
broadcasting until 9am on Monday the 27th of September.

The main purpose of the download is to address two issues that have been
reported by customers which can sometimes occur with the current
version of
software.
* The first is to prevent the box from crashing which can sometimes
occur while navigating in the recording library.
* The second is to prevent the box from re-initializing when it is
switched out of standby, which can sometimes occur, this can cause the
box
to fail to record an event which has been set.

So it looks as if they are _still_ not addressing the momentary picture
freezes on BBC channels which are the other main irritation.
