Missing channels

Watcha group,

This may be an obvious question but....

I have a Hauppauge Dec1000-t plugged into a portable TV via a scart, the
aerial it is connected to is a new aerial which I was told is fully
compatyible with the digital transmitter, the problem is that i'm only
picking up half the channels. Could this be due to the aerial being out of
alignment,( i was advised to aim it in the same direction as analogue
aerials) or just that my aerial really isn't up to scratch?

Any advice gratefully received.

Lee

Either it's out of alignment or your transmitter isn't providing a full
service yet.

[snip]

Could this also be an aerial that is not wideband and the poster is only
picking up some of the muxes that match his aerial?

I think the transmitter is bilsdale? Kind of a SSE direction from where I
am (teesside).

Sounds like Bilsdale. I'm about 90% sure that your aerial isn't alligned
correctly. Only a thought but if possible, when you move the aerial, have a
look at the connections. It may be possible that they haven't been
connected correctly.
