Utter rubbish!

The "Ch 15" placeholder for the spare capacity on the SDN mux has been
around on Freeview for a long time, and has always been audio only. There
have been other similar place holders in the past that have eventually
become TV channels, and the same is probably likely to happen here.

Fair enough. So you're guessing too, therefore your guess might just as
well be utter rubbish.

Well, I've had my set-top box for over a year, and it has always been
there. Two others, "Ch 14" and "Ch 22" also existed at one time, but these
eventually got replaced by television streams. Occasionally these streams
may show some test patterns or even the odd video feed.

"Ch 15" is rumoured to be the new Disney Daytime service that will
supposedly launch soon. After the launch of Top-Up TV, SDN only have spare
capacity on their MUX during the daytime, and then only outside of Wales.

When new radio stations or data streams have appeared in the past, they've
just appeared on the relevant MUX unannounced.

transmitted on that PID though.

Dunno about wether they are testing, but I agree thaet Talk****e is utter
rubbish!
Constant banal football gossip, and phone-ins with that wheezing fat-bloke
usually about asylum seekers, the BBC/Blair conspiracy theory or speed
cameras.
TalkSport? - I'd rather eat worms..

Yeah, but somehow they got the cricket recently so I had to tune in...
was a right bugger on Saturdays because they revert to football on AM
and the cricket is only available on digital TalkSport... Don't have
DAB and don't have a Sky sub only the FTV/FTA channels - and TalkSport
is the only non-free radio on Sky - feckers!

By that logic it could just as well be talkSport, because talkSport
*did* announce they were going on Freeview in a few months' time, and
that was a few months ago. Demuxing the stream does show 64kbps mono
audio, which is exactly what you'd expect talkSport to use. Of course I
might be wrong, but you may be as wrong as I am, so there's no need to
accuse me of "utter rubbish", because yours could just as well be. I
only said it *might* be talkSport anyway.

After the launch of Top-Up TV, SDN only have
spare capacity on their MUX during the daytime, and then only outside
of Wales.

talkSport would only use 64kbps, and there clearly is enough capacity
for this at the moment, because that's what bit rate Ch 15 *is* using
now.

When new radio stations or data streams have appeared in the past,
they've just appeared on the relevant MUX unannounced.

But also, SDN is the mux that's had Radios 1-4 and heat and Mojo added
to it, which are the most recent radio stations to be added.

I've removed it from my website, just in case. :)

Talk sport is total crap. When it was Talk Radio it was at least mildly amusing
as the terminally inane council-house dwelling, Sun "reading" aesthetes used to
phone Tommy Boyd, Chris Hitchens and James Whale only to be verbally humiliated.

If you want shock-jocks try Rush Limbaugh in the US, available over the
internet.
