A new (beta) version of DTVRecord has been released and is available

Many changes have been made including requests for digiguide program
details to be added to files + detection and fixing of Hauppauge
recording problems. Though technically a beta release, it has been
tested solidly for 2 weeks, making 1,000's of recordings. It should
hopefully fix all outstanding issues with DigiTV and divx compression.
The '$type-1' command will run a self-test, recording EVERY channel
for 3 minutes and compressing at different qualities.

WARNING : The new version affects both digiguide markers AND current
record / playlist settings of DTVRecord. Please read below for further
info / workarounds. The record list CAN be restored but the playlist
cannot due to major changes. To restore the playlist however you can
simply drag and drop the files to the play tab (ensure auto = off and
convert = none!)

FEATU DIGIGUIDE OR MANUAL PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS STORED IN FILES
The new digiguide marker passes the program description to new
recordings. These may also be added manually. These descriptions may
be viewed by hovering over program entries. They are also permanently
stored in the tags of recorded MPEG files and any converted avi / mp3
/ogg files.

FEATU ZERO FILE RECORDING DETECTION
Turning on the ‘retry on fail’ option now monitors recordings. It
detects failed DTV software and attempts to close/re-run it. It also
detects zero byte recordings in progress and attempts to fix this by
first changing channel to a different Mux. If this fails it will
reboot the DTV software in an attempt to fix it. The option is mainly
for Hauppauge users who find their hardware unreliable.

FEATU COMMAND LINE UPDATED
The command line has been updated to be more flexible (see section 4
at end of this document). All commands are now named and may be in any
order. As new commands are added in the future this will leave old
command lines unaffected. The old format is still recognised, however
only the program time, name and channel are parsed from it. A
different key is now used in the registry so any play/record lists
will be lost. Before running the new DTVRecord you can edit the
DTVRecord registry and rename 'Programs' to 'RecList' to preserve the
recording list. Apologies for any awkwardness but this was a necessary
'future proofing' evil as the current command line syntax had become
too inflexible. This will not need to happen again.
