And on all sockets?

Do yerself a favour and buy a qaulity switch, the old saying yer get what
yer pay for ok.

I thought the cheap one (or one of them) at Argos was actually one which was
very popular for being fully wired and worked great and was recommended on
one of the groups somewhere.

I don't think so, the one to go for is Argos 534/2361 which does switch RGB
from one of three devices to a TV.
It's got no flying Scart lead so you need to have another Scart lead as well.
It has push switches on the front for selecting input & for selecting
recording transfer, also an RGB on/off switch.
It is a good quality metal cased swich box & I have bought two of them.
They are £9.75.

from one of three devices to a TV.
It's got no flying Scart lead so you need to have another Scart lead as well.
