100Hz TV & Freeview

Hi,

A friend of mine is looking at buying a new TV, and has noticed that all the
integrated TV's dont seem to be 100Hz.

Is there a technical reason ?

Is it just price ?

Or perhaps he has not looked at the right places ?

Regards

Alan

Probably coincidence, but a happy one.

100Hz processing is a con. If you gave me a 100Hz enabled TV and I
couldn't turn the processing off, I'd give it away or throw it into the
skip.

I paid 1400 for my Sony KD 32DX100 and its a smasher! I think its out there
now for about 900! Nice telly though....looks good and REALLY delivers,
picture wise

"Joe Public would be far too confused at this early stage if we were to
offer 100hz and 50hz in analogue as well as digital" That's what one
manufacturer said at a seminar last year. 100hz digital will become the
norm in Widescreen before long,My TV came with switchable 100hz or 50hz so I
can in an instant tell the difference in picture quality between the two.
Unlike the other two guy's I feel 100hz is worth every penny!
