New Digital Satellite Receivers Page
I've added a digital satellite receivers page to my web site:
http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/dsat_rx.htm Compiling the page reinforced just what a rip-off DAB is when you can get a full DSat system including receiver with digital output and dish with LNB for as little as £99, or a receiver with LED channel number display and coax digital output for £69, bearing in mind that the audio quality of the digital radio stations on DSat wipes the floor with DAB. -- Steve - http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/ - Digital Radio News & Info DAB sounds worse than Freeview, digital satellite, cable, broadband internet and FM |

Tell me Steve do you ever think about anything else? Of course I do. Is your life obsessed with DAB 'quality'? I freely admit that I think about it too much, but I just get wound up by the DAB industry ****s that think it's acceptable and pass DAB off as "the future of radio". Do you wake up in a cold sweat shouting '128kbps'? Er, no. Do you bore your friends and family with it? I never mention it actually. Sorry to disappoint you. -- Steve - http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/ - Digital Radio News & Info DAB sounds worse than Freeview, digital satellite, cable, broadband internet and FM |

... Tell me Steve do you ever think about anything else? Is your life obsessed with DAB 'quality'? Do you wake up in a cold sweat shouting '128kbps'? Do you bore your friends and family with it? Don't ask me why, but I read that as "Is your wife obsessed with DAB 'quality'?" On that note, my girlfriend isn't obsessed with DAB audio quality, but nonetheless thinks it sounds crap. She's not an audiophile, and would be quite content with a mini system rather than a proper hi-fi. This is something that I haven't really thought about up until now, but, looking at the situation, it is quite plainly obvious that those who don't have a problem with DAB audio quality must have less-than-perfect hearing. |

Are these all products you've tested and recommend, Steve? If not, it seems an oddly random list. There's a much better one at http://www.satellite-heaven.de/Receiver/index.htm -- Richard L. |
