A question to those with PACE Twins and the like.
How do you know what is on the disk? Can you mark each recording with some title at the time of recording or after? Martin. with the pace: you get a "library" with a list of the programmes, the name is automatically done from the info broadcast and it even saves the description, channel, time, and how much you have watched. you also get a video preview window on the menu. you can rename it if it got the title wrong using the number keys similar to a mobile phone texting input Chris |

I knew the date, time and name of the program was already logged automatically on the hard disk, making selecting stuff a complete doddle, but only recently noticed that all the program info (ie content description) is displayed as well ! Very nice indeed. Also, when playing back a recording you can pull up the info as if it were live. I don't know whether this is recalled from the library or is available simply because the whole stream is recorded with no further compression. A nice touch, anyway. I've posted to this group a few times regarding the Pace Twin. In spite of the very few freeze ups, I think my Twin is possibly the best bit of consumer kit I've ever bought. I really am very happy with it indeed :-) I keep pointing out that before that I had the crappiest TV picture imagineable, along with a dodgy old VHS recorder, so no doubt the change in quality I've perceived is much greater than for someone who started out with good equipment in first place. Who knows ! |
