There have been tests on Sky Digital, and it is possible you might be
able to access it via the 'add channels' option, but nothing confirmed
on an EPG slot

Here is the frequency for the test, most of the time is it just a test
signal, but occasionally a program comes on

10.906 (V)
22000
5/6

Label: G54

I suspect those streams G54, G49, and one other, might be earmarked
for (BBC style) interactive use ? I caught a promo last night claiming
that D-Sat viewers would be able to benefit from exclusive 'Interactive'
Champion's League coverage. That would imply some sort of 'video' choice
which ITV have no bandwidth available to supply on DTT.

May well be used to downlink ITV3 to Cable and Freeview.

No, I'm told that ITV-3's distribution for DTT will be the same
as the other Mux 2 channels. BT/NTL terrestrial links/fibre.

Cable cos normally source their feeds by off air DTT reception.

There is speculation that the stream called'G54'
on 10.906 (V SR 22.0, FEC 5/6)
has been carrying some ITV3 material, but no idea when it will get in the
EPG.

I imagine the question is not 'if' but 'when,' as I can't imagine a service
carrying the ITV masthead not being carried on the UK's most ubiquitous
digital platform.

The other question ,of course, is will it be FTV on Sky, or will the same
anomalous situation exist as with ITV2 on DTT vs D-Sat.
