Sky+ question

Hi,

I've currently got an old Pace Sky box downstairs in the living room and it
is also piped upstairs to one of the bedrooms, if I buy a Sky+ box and set
it up in the same way will I be able to watch different channels
simultaneously downstairs and upstairs thanks to the dual tuners?

Thanks,
Bob

No. Although Sky+ has two tuners for receiving broadcasts, it only has 1
output.

Thanks Neil, here's another question then, if a recording is being watched
downstairs will I be forced to watch the recording upstairs as well then?

Whatever is displayed on the TV downstairs will be displayed upstairs.

Opinions personal, facts suspect.

Unfortunately not. The only way you would be able to watch different
channels at the same time would be through the Multiroom setup, which
costs extra (assuming your Sky package is high enough to forgo the Sky+
subscription).
