loss of channels??
 

Hi,

We have been with sky for several years now. About 12 months ago we had a
new amstrad digibox replace our old one. Last 2 weeks we have had some odd
symptoms.

We have full package. We cannot get movies 3. UK gold+ Disney tunes. All we
get is a blue screen with the info bar at the bottom. All other channels
fine. I reset the box by switching off etc. The box gets new listings and we
can get the channels for about 5 minutes the screen starts moving up the
television and gone again.

Any one ever have this problem??? Is it time to replace the box again.

Any help appreciated

unplug the box
press and hold the backup button while plugging the box back in
all 4 lights on the front will come on
leave the box for about 10 mintes which you will be prompted on the screen
software will update with all channel listings, software version etc...
hopefully this will cure the problem
only do this if the box is experiencing channel loss or if off for long
periods of time
updates normally occur when the box is on all the time but occasionally you
can miss one

I've noticed exactly the same problem a couple of times over the last week
or two. First time I could get channel 551 but not 552. Last time is was
completely different channels showing the problem.

Switching the digibox off for a couple of minutes, then switching it on but
leave it in standby for a minute, then fully switching it on fixed the
problem for me both times
