Second Subscription
Quick question - I have sky+ on a full subscription in the lounge, and a
digibox with no subscription or card of any sort in the bedroom. If i take a secondary subscription for a few months, at £10, then cancel it, will the card in the bedroom still give me the ITV, CH4 and CH5 stations? And is there a minimum subscription term for a second subscription? |

Another question.
If I go for the SKY+ box and the £10 second subscription for my old digibox in "another room", can I then take the old digibox to Spain? |

it would also feck up some peoples phone systems - i already have 4 phones
and sky+ - isn't there a limit on the number of devices that can be connected to a domestic phone connection (REN or something)? "Dylan" wrote in message ... "Jomtien" wrote in message ... for a £150 refund - problem been going on since last December, can't anyone to talk to me at Sky they just want to keep putting me throught to technical(at least twice a month) supervisor refused to take phone call |
Take them to the Small Claims Court. That will focus their minds.

Sky insist that both boxes are permanently connected to the same operational
phone line in order to prove that they are being used in the same location. Even though both my boxes were connected to the same phone line, Sky sent me a letter stating that they weren't and that they would start charging me for 2 subscriptions if they continued to be disconnected. After proving that they were connected, by voting interactively on Sky News, I wrote a snotty letter to Sky telling them they were wrong. Sky phoned me and insisted, incorrectly, that the boxes were not connected to a phone line. To cut a long story short, not only do Sky want both boxes connected to a phone line, they also expect you not to withhold your telephone number, as this is the only way they have of ensuring that both boxes are in the same location. A slight blunder on Sky's behalf as there is no mention of this anywhere in the T&C's. I'm pretty sure that if you wanted to move your second box to a different location, all you have to do is withhold your phone number. Both boxes would still need to be connect to an operational phone line (in order to comply with the T&C's). Sky will contact you stating, quite incorrectly, that you are in breach of the T&C's. When Sky start charging you for 2 subscriptions, take them to court. All they stipulate is that your boxes are connected to an operational phone line. In my opinion a phone line is operational if you can make calls using it. This being the case, you would not be in breach of the T&C's and you would win the case. What do the rest of you think ? Sadly any acceptance of any Sky contract includes acceptance of all future changes to the T&Cs, whether you are informed of them or not. The legality of such clauses is another matter for debate but even so Sky can alter the T&Cs at any time without telling you. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these. Really Sky could solve that problem themselves - when the box dials back, the system at the far end could inform it that it's seeing a withheld CLI and instruct it to call back with a '1470' prefix, or check to see if the dialling prefix contains '141' and if so redial without it, etc. |
