Slightly annoyed me too, but not to that extent - It'd be nice if they'd let the film finish before doing their advertising. Graham |

I'm with you on this one. The end was meant to be quietly atmospheric and was totally shot to pieces by the voiceover announcing another presentation. And for the record, I was not recording it, just trying to enjoy a good movie in its integrity. MarĂ*a |

You mean the end of the actual film and not the credits? Now that is very poor. Tried looking at http://www.sky.com/skycom/home ? Si. |
I'm with you on this one. The end was meant to be quietly atmospheric and was totally shot to pieces by the voiceover announcing another presentation. The best example of this kind of thing I've witnessed was UK Drama's repeat of the BBC series "The Lakes". For those who haven't seen it, it's set in the Lake District and the key incident of the series is the drowning of three primary school age children in a boating accident on the lake. There is a long sequence where their families are in small rowing boats on the lake, at the site of the accident, and it's pretty harrowing. They're all wracked with grief, at the location of their children's death, about 48 hours after the accident. At that point, having spent two or three minutes watching this drawn out scene the episode ends. Immediately some **** cracks in with a super-duper-jovial "Oirish" voice "and the laughter continues after the break with" (whatever the next program was). Arsehole. |
