Damn Sky and their terms and conditions. There I was thinking that the
telephone-line-needing-to-be-attached-for-12 months was an across the
board sort of thing, only to find out I was wrong.

My GF has an extra sub and mini-box for her Ma and I told them that as
it was now more than twelve months since installation they could take
out their phone lines (neither of them have ever used anything
interactive, nor ordered any PPV movies or the like, so no great loss).
In fact we changed over to Dect phones and ripped out the unsightly
telephone cables running around the skirting board to her Ma's room.

Turns out we have to have them both connected permanantly, not just for
12 months. It's part of the deal with having a cheap second box.

Ah well, back to a bit of telecoms wiring this weekend, I guess.
