SKY+ Jumping/Freezing, mainly ITV?
 

Hi,

Ive recently had SKY+ installed. I keep getting an intermittent
problem with some programmes which, when recorded start freezing or
jumping. It seems to only really happen when recording from ITV which
seems strange. Sometimes the programmes record fine, but quite often
now, the picture is jumpy and sort of skips forward about 5 secs every
so often which puts the speech out of sync. Pausing live tv on ITV
also seems to do this when you try and resume viewing.

I was wondering has anyone experienced this before? My first thought
was that that hard drive is damaged, but its only ever had problems
recording ITV. I live on top of a hill, my signal strength is almost
%100 for both inputs, the installer said he'd never seen one as high,
which makes think its not the signal.

Ive tried a full system reset and forcing the latest software upgrade.

I dont like dealing with SKY so can anyone suggest something other
than asking for a replacement box?
