Rick When new channels launch they tend to just get added onto the existing line-up in whatever section is agreed between SKY and the broadcaster. However as more channels are added to the EPG it will require re-sorting to eliminate gaps that have been left but and to filter certain channels into a more representative listings. It's happened before but on a much smaller scale. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds13825.html Mike C |

That is were the changes made in time so that you didn't have any recordings affected? I ask as the EPG on Windows XP Media Center Edition took over 3 days to be updated. It would be nice when I complain to say that Tivo did it correctly:-) -- Nigel Barker Live from the sunny Cote d'Azur |

That is were the changes made in time so that you didn't have any recordings affected? Yes. It was on the same day, (Wednesday?). None of my own recordings were affected. (In theory you could miss recordings, because it only calls home once each day and this won't coincide exactly with the Sky switchover time. But both of these are normally during the night so you'd have to be pretty unlucky - record on a 24-hour channel within a few hours of its change time) I ask as the EPG on Windows XP Media Center Edition took over 3 days to be updated. It would be nice when I complain to say that Tivo did it correctly:-) You certainly may :-). TiVo are actually very good with channel additions/deletions/moves, and keeping up with Sky - just one of their platforms - is a task and a half. There are often several changes a week! HTH According to Sky, the channels numbers have been changed for 2 reasons: 1) tidy up of the EPG 2) to prepare for some new channels coming later on in the year |
