It would surely help album sales of the featured artists too. I used to buy CDs when I knew what was around, not so easy to keep track now. Bring back Reba, Patty, Lorrie, Travis (no, not the Scottish lot), Garth, and most of all Deana....sigh. One way is to use a store like cduniverse where you can check out mp3 clips and follow the links of "people who bought this also bought" Sim currently playing "Mountain Soul" - Patty Loveless Just be careful buying things - reportedly they've included account details in standard text e-mails sent to customers, details which have later turned up on websites. -- Carl |

Thanks Bubo Must admit, I'd like to see the return of CMT to the Sky platform. Would certainly beat all the ******** that's sprung up over the last few years. -- Nige I probably wouldn't watch it, but even I would support a return - it's a genre that's sadly unsupported. On a similar theme, I'm happy to see the success of Norah Jones and Katie Melua, hopefully others will get the chance. -- Carl |

You should try living in the US, where all Viacom channels got yanked off
Echostar (Dish Network) for a while (Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, BET, Comedy Central, and all of that good stuff). Cheers "Steve Howarth" wrote in message ... "Replicator Creator" wrote in message m... Hello! Any news of CMT (Country Music TV) returning to SKY packages? Thanks Bubo You mean that music with great melodies, meaningful lyrics and world-class performance and production values? "They" seem to think that people don't want that sort of thing any more. Now, if it is thrash-metal or RnB channels you want (strange how black blokes are darker than black women these days), no problem - I predict at least another half a dozen this year. My old CMT tapes come out at least twice a week. I can't believe it's not profitable for them to bring CMT back - the audience may be small, but they'd be a monopoly in a niche market.
