What happened was, the box had been on Sky One anyway and about 1 minute into Nip/Tuck, probably while the box was doing a dual record because of the overlap, I tried to change the box to News 24. A message came up saying "please wait while recorded programs are saved" then instead of going away, it changed to a light blue colour and stayed on screen. I couldn't get rid of it by pressing 'backup' and trying to change channel did nothing. I managed to get rid of it by pressing 'TV Guide' which took me into the TV guide, then 'backup'. After this though, I still couldn't change channels for the duration of Nip/Tuck. The number keys wouldn't do anything, nor would the up/down keys. The reciever light on the front of the box was coming on but they weren't doing anything. Angel had well finished by this point. I didn't want to fiddle too much in case i crashed the box, so I just switched the tv off until after Nip/Tuck and when I came back it was working fine again. Like I said before, both recordings were fine. -- All mail sent to this address will be spam filtered by Spam Interceptor If replying you may be asked to confirm that your mail is genuine. It keep saying no signal and coming up with a blue screen. I've had something similar a happen a couple of times this week. On monday i was watching a recording of MIB 2. It finished just after 9 when the Box started recording life begins. I was unable to view any channel just got this blue screen. I left it well alone as I didn't want to screw up the recording. After the recording finished all was ok! Last night I was watching and recording Grand Designs. In the commercial break I tried to change to ch 404 to see the Champions league score but entering the channel nos did nothing. Tried again via the epg and all I got was the blue screen. I was however able to return to Channel 4. After the recording finished all was ok again. Very strange! -- Kevin |
Are you having any other problems with the recording, as my sky plus box
says its recording but when I look to see what it is recording it doesn't show anything. I have told sky but all they can do is send someone out to look at it (which means a new box even time) but the same problem with every box. Wendy "Kevin Hughes" wrote in message ... If you use the (R) button to record and then cancel recording the programme currently on screen the red light goes out, but it's still pretty poor...
