Sky Plus and Phillips Video Sender
Anybody got any idea what is wrong with this.
Got a V1 Pace Sky plus box. and a phillips video sender v1200 http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=1751&productId=94740&Trail=C$cip=12724 C$Brand=PhilipsC$cip=12725&categoryId=12725 Pic sends fine, but it wont change channels etc via the wireless link ?? |

My guess is that the Philips Video Sender does not work with Sky+.
Sky+ remotes use a differnet set of freq's than a standard Sky box. I bet the Philps does not support the freq's that Sky+ use's. i dont think this is true because it mentions problems with cable boxes but not sky+, and my remote control which lists the same problem of some cable boxes does have the codes for sky+ built in. so i dont see why it would be this. |

The Philips product in question works just fine with Sky+ - I have one. However, I did find that the strength of the IR-signal emitted by the base-station (through the IR dongle cable) is utterly crap. So unless the IR-emitter is at a very specific angle and right-up close then it won't work. Fork. |

Had slight problems with one of the IR thingies that stick on the box but I used the second one and it works fine. Bowman |

i use a phillips video sender with sky+ and it works just fine
