Activation of new ftv card
 

Hi,

Friends from the U.K. called the free2view service and had a new card sent,
which they have now sent on to me in Germany for use in my Grundig digibox.

The card doesn't work because it seems to need activation.

I intend calling the free2view No. 0870 054 1800, suppressing the identity
on my mobile, of course, and saying I'm calling for my friends. Will that
do it?

Or should I call the number on the back of the new SKY card (08700 500 744),
using the same strategy, of course?

Why not just phone your friend and get them to then phone the free2view
number for you - you can use them as a relay for the conversation between
you and free2view. It worked when I did it for a friend in France with the
old BBC card.
