ftv channels on sky card without subscription

Hi,

If I take out Sky+ I get a new card and plus digibox. Will my old box with
old card (without Sky subscription) give me ITV, Ch4 and Five as well as BBC
1 + 2 ? What else if anything can I get from it as I don't want an extra
mirror sub from sky. How long will my old sky card live as the free2view
cards seem a serious rip-off ?
Also as I don't have a phone line in the room where my box is (I bought it)
how good are the engineers at setting up an extension on the BT LINE ? It
would need to go through five rooms if it goes inside the house and would be
so much better outside.

tia

p.s. there were rumours of a cheaper sky+ installation/subscription package,
has anyone any idea of prices and timescale ?

Nobiody knows.

In what sense? You can't get them any more.

Not necessarily, you only get a new card if you previously cancel the
old sub, or if you are going to have two subs.

Yes. See the FAQ.

Links to channel lists in the FAQ.

Until the next card change. Probably 5 years or more.

It's hard to imagine much cheaper than £1.

Hi Jomtien,

hmmm, I didn't actually mean the £1 charge. I meant less than £200 for the
box, less than £10 per month for it to be usable without having to pay for
two lots of premium channels. I clearly didn't express myself clearly.

cheers

quote....
My wife's husband works for the free2view service and he has been told that
the replacement card service ends 31st January but a new card on line
service will begin within 2 weeks for new customers and the cards will cost
£45.50. The subsided cards £23.50 were only for people who had already old
P1 cards.
.....unquote

I thought £23.50 was too much. If it goes to £45.50 it certainly will be.

I see. You can find recon boxes for £99, + £1 installation.
