Second sub to sky .

I was wondering if anyone has ordered a second card from sky and if so do
they put you through the mill thinking you are not going to use it at your
home address .

oh and the reason I don't want to go for the £1 deal is they charged me for
watching a film that was supposedly ordered from the handset so I now refuse
to connect the box to the telephone .

any experiences you've had would be greatly appreciated

If you're talking about the mirror sub, to qualify both boxes have to be
permanently connected to the same phone line. If they're not, they *do*
check up on you (happened to me cos of a dodgy installation).

Thanks for the help so far Andy

I some how managed to delete half the first post as I sent it ??

I don't want to subscribe to the mirror sub as I had a problem with sky and
a film that was supposedly ordered with the remote control . So because of
this I refuse to connect the digi box to the phone line .

The part of the message I deleted explained that I have been given a box and
I will buy a dual LNB and cable it myself . Both digi boxes are over a year
old and doesn't have to be connected to the phone line .

I was just wondering if sky will play funny beggars and

a) charge me for sending me the card
b) insist I connect the new box to the phone line (as I explained above ,
there not on!)
c) or do I cut my loses and get a freeview card (which I don't really want
to do as my wee girl likes nick jr.)

hope this clears it up a bit

Craig

I have a second sub & because I refused to connect either box to a phone
line, they now charge me a full subscription for each box - one in the
lounge & the other in another room.

Extortion! You bet.

Thanks for your reply Dave :0)

did you just phone up sky or did you go through a dealer to get your card
for your second digibox ?

Presuming you mean a free to view card. These aren't available any more [as
of Saturday].
