SKY in Poland
If I want SKY in Poland can I get the kit installed at a mates house in UK
and then just remove the box and card and take them with me? Is this legal? How easy is it to remove the kit (dish and cables etc.) from my mates house after installation. Alternatively if I took out a subscription for two decoders at the same address (there is an offer on the SKY website for this) can I simply take one of the decoders to Poland with me and leave the other one here, splitting the monthly subscription cost with the other person? Would both decoders and cards continue to work from seperate locations? Finally, will I be able to pick up BBC/ITV/C4 from Poland with a SKY decoder? Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers. |
The twin sub will not work, both sky units have to be on the same telephone
no, as SKY's PC's will pick up the CLI when they dial in. It is in the T&C's "Paul Esling" wrote in message ... 1)Buy a Panasonic DSB40 off eBay(best tuner). 2) Phone up sky and subscribe (tell them you already have all the kit so you wont get a subsidised box and have to have it connected to the phone line). 3) Go to Poland and get a satellite installer to put a 1m+ dish up pointingat the correct satellite. 4)Plug in your box |

Anything on Astra 2D is out - all the BBC stuff / ITV stuff,/ Disney / Amp / Scuzz / Flaunt etc. There could be other individual satellite footprints you may struggle with due to your distance east from the main coverage areas. -- Ross Lockley Galashiels www.analoguesat.co.uk www.geocities.com/digitalsatuk "Sender" and "From" addresses are spam trapped.
