NTL have it on their cable boxes and it can be very useful, especially when flicking between, say, the latest football scores and a live game. Ah, I don't watch football - maybe that's why I've never needed it. :-) Neither do I but that's the best example I could think of. I tend to use it when flicking between music channels during an ad break. Jim -- Replace 'spam' with 'post' to reply. Rarely updated UK Game Boy Advance FAQ @ http://www.gbafaq.co.uk/ |

I'd say the main reason Sky don't implement that button is so viewers who don't know the channel number off heart will flick through and spot those crappy channels like Sky One..... thus guaranteeing viewers if only for a couple of seconds! I can well imagine Sky using that tactic and mentioning it to any would be new channel owner wanting the *best* coverage. |

Most non-Sky receivers include such a button, as indeed does the Tivo. And how many times have you used it on your Tivo? Rarely as I have a twin Sky setup. Those without a twin setup would use it. I use it often enough on my Echostar. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these.
