Petitions - HIGNFY host & ITV1/Sky Digital problems

The latter of these two is probably only of interest to the Sky newsgroup,

but
for HIGNFY I'm collecting names and comments for those who think Adam Shaw
should be the host. Who is he? Well, the link below will tell you.

And for those watching ITV1 via Sky Digital, mainly in the Granada region,

and
are fed up of the occasional blackouts (about once per programme), I'm
collecting comments to pass on to Granada so they'll finally do something
about it.

Start at: http://dvdfever.co.uk/pressrel/tvissues.shtml

Personally out of the special hosts I've seen I thought the best host was
William Hague. He he handled the captains, the guests and the quiz itself
with excelence.

the only other presenter who I thought could be good as a long term was
Charlotte Church who, while very inexperienced, still came across as quite
the professional and showed a lot of potential.

"He works well in a team environment"? Is he a friend of yours or
something?

Watching TV programmes when they're scheduled? What a quaint old
fashioned concept. Did you know video recorders will now handle this
sort of thing for you allowing you to watch specific television
programmes whenever you want?

Heh! This newsgroup is difficult to read for me, I've only just watched
the Parkinson/Meg Ryan[1] interview last night and I've got about 40
hours worth of tv sitting there waiting to be viewed. Make following
some threads a bit annoying if I don't want spoilers.

T.

[1] I couldn't see what the problem was, she didn't seem overly hostile
and was just answering questions as they were asked. Parky seemed to be
a bit patronising and I don't think he liked actually having to do an
interview rather than just asking one question at the start and sitting
back for 30 minutes.

No vido?

no I do but I honestly wouldn't have a clue when it's on. I used to have
digiguide and i watch TV so little now that it was getting pointless. I
really could do without the whole TV thing, if I didn't still live at home I
wouldn't have a TV capable of receiving signals. the whole licence thing
would be a waste of money and I'd rather put it towards my broadband
connection or some blank CDs.

I don't know, I haven't watched it yet :-)

Currently sitting on the Tivo is the following:
That Henry VIII thing
A few Parkinsons
A few Frank Skinner shows
Loads of Monkey Dusts
Extreme engineering (lots of)
Pretty much all of the last series of wife swap

All that is currently sitting there unwatched because I just recorded
them in case there was nothing else going on and I wanted to watch some
TV. There's only a few shows that I watch regularly (QI, West Wing, Top
Gear, 5th Gear, Pop Idol, HIGNFY) these don't usually stay on the Tivo
too long.

Does Adam Shaw *want* to be host? Surely he'd have applied by now if he did.
