Sky+ for free ? WTF ?

Just seen on Ebay some chaps with rather good feedback selling info about
getting Plus functions without paying additional 10P if you're on Family.

WTF ?
Any thoughts ?

yep. Upgrade!!! When you are on Family you have to pay £10p.m for the Plus
functions, if you upgrade to 2 premium channels you don't.

That is more than likely the info he is selling.

Technically he would be correct. :)

Last line should read.

Well it takes all sorts, A work colleague PAID £2.50 for the info (as I say
it takes all sorts!) He received a word document by return with the
following info on....

****************************************

SKY plus FREE SUBSCRIPTION:-

You will need to be subscribed to sky plus for at least 1 month for this to
work.

The key to getting sky plus free is the movie channel.

1) Remove your Sky card and make a note of your Sky viewing number and
the telephone number.

2) Ring Sky on the number and say you would like the movie channel.

3) Now say that you own a SKY plus box and want the subscription
reduced to £0 because of the movie channel. Some operators won't know about
this. If they don't then ask them to speak to a colleague or supervisor
about getting SKY plus free when subscribing to a movie channel.

4) They will do this and flag the SKY plus department to stop billing
for that subscription.

5) Now, you will no longer be throwing away £10 on SKY plus for
nothing anymore, but wait there's more.

6) Note that SKY plus is a separate dept to SKY. Separate numbers,
systems etc. And, Sky has to tell SKY plus to zero the subscription.

7) Leave it one month for the SKY movie channel to appear on your bill
(and you will also get a letter from SKY plus to say 'Congrats-SKY plus is
now free.')

8) Then phone up and cancel your movie channel but don't mention SKY
plus!

Happy viewing!

So if there is anyone out supid enough to be thinking of giving this person
£2.50 DON`T give it to a charity instead.

Not only that but I doubt that the ruse will even work.
