Sky Digital Free Channels
 

Hi All,

Does anybody know how I could go about trying to receive any free bonus
channels on Sky Digital Minisidh please? I am looking for any British,
French or Spanish channels.

I am in the North-west of England and not too sure which way minidish is
pointing!

If you are receiving Sky Digital, then your dish is pointing at the
satellites at 28E.

There aren't any free European channels operating off 28E. There ARE a
handful of Dubai channels, and a couple of radio stations including
Radio Caroline.

TVE International (Spain) and Deutsche Welle (Germany) will be joining
the Sky platform soon, but they will be part of the pay package.

If you want the Europeans, you need to either install a second dish, or
put up a dish with 2 LNB's on it for 28E and the Europeans on either 13E
or 19E.

As for your other question Arkle

Assuming the procedure is the same for Sky+ boxes as it is for normal
boxes (someone please jump in if Im wrong here) you need to "Add
Channels" using the following parameters: (Services, 4, 4)

Freq. 11642V
Symbol Rate 27.5
FEC 2/3

This will give you the 3 or 4 Dubai channels on that frequency.


If you want to listen to Radio Caroline then use

Freq. 11585H
SR 27.5
FEC 2/3
