sky + Question
Does anyone know if the Sky + box is affected by in car radar speed detector
as badly as the standard digibox, this can cause freezing of the box, and presumably failed recordings????? any help gratefuly appreciated.... chris |

So yes if a local source in interference will effect a digibox it should also effect a SKY+. Mike C |

Mike C In which case much more likely to assume something else then, since there is no reason to assume radar and a good reason to believe it isnt. one reason radar detectors werent(arent?) illegal is because they dont emit anything so its difficult to make them illegal. -- Tumbleweed Remove theobvious before replying (but no email reply necessary to newsgroups) |

Does anyone know if the Sky + box is affected by in car radar speed detector as badly as the standard digibox, this can cause freezing of the box, and presumably failed recordings????? If you have the Sky+ in the same car as an in car radar speed detector, then I suspect your problems are related to keeping the roof mounted dish pointing at the correct location. I find my Sky boxen to be badly affected by irrationally placed bowls of petunias. -- XBL Gamertag: qIroS |

Apparently some (really rubbish) 'radar' / 'speed trap' detectors manage to emit all kinds of **** across the RF spectrum, though, and in particular on frequencies which will blat across your satellite reception. The solution is not so much a new digibox as persuading your local boy racer to invest in some decent kit. |

Does anyone know if the Sky + box is affected by in car radar speed detector as badly as the standard digibox It could easily be. The Sky+ is basically just a regular digibox with a hard drive. -- Digibox problem? : A reboot solves 90% of these.
