With all these call centres moving to the far east , is it possible the Sky

I am sure Sky are considering out sourcing some of their call centre/back office systems to the far east. Frankly if you aren't your shareholders aren't going to be too happy in this day and age. -- Hiram Hackenbacker |

When I spoke to them the english was fine but the comms link sounded to have high compression artifacts which made the indian lady sound metallic. Maybe it was really a Darlek? Did you see Grumpy Old Men on BBC2 yesterday? Someone was taking the pith out of Scottish customer service reps. I believe they became popular as a result of some research that showed people trusted a Scottish accent. Unfortunately, the PR people failed to grasp that some Scottish accents are completely incomprehensible. I have no problems with the Scottish accent, but the last call I made, I was put through to India. No problems understanding even with the compression, but the voice of the supervisor in the background coaching every single reply was getting annoying ! |

But having said that I do sometimes think that many English people *don't want* to understand Scots. Norman --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
