Sky Movie channels?

Was there a rumour recently about Sky rearranging their movie channels in
some way?
I'm thinking of resubscribing but if there is some rearrangement coming I'll
wait until then.

What Sat TV reported this:-

"Sky has confirmed that its film channels will be relaunched on
November 1. The current brand names of Sky Movies Premier and Sky
Movies Max will be dropped and replaced with the name Sky Movies 1 -
9. The 'Cinema' channels will also be renamed from Sky Movies Cinema
to Sky Cinema and Sky Cinema 2".

Just because they're "re-naming" them won't make them any better!

This is tyrpical of a company if it's product is not doing well...."I know,
we'll re-name them, then all will be well!"

Na, save ya money m8. Use it for something else.

Ask yourself, "why did I stop subscribing the first time?" If it was because
it was boring with loads of repeats....don't bother re-subscribing....it's
still the same!

Yup, before Sky Movies Cinema there was Sky Cinema. And before Sky Movies
Premier and Sky Movies Max there was Sky Premier and Sky Moviemax and before
that there was Sky Movies Screen 1 and Screen 2...

Reminds me of that Monty Python sketch (4th series) where the BBC
programme planners are deciding what new programmes to broadcast. At
one point they decide to just rename existing programmes instead. One
example they come up with is "Dad's Navy" :)

You are correct, the only difference is Sky+. SInce I'm on the £18.50
package I am paying £28.50 inc S+. So there is some point in considering
subscribing to a couple of premier channels since it will probably cost a
fiver a month more rather than £15. The question is, are they worth the
extra fiver?
