Can you beat this for bad service?

Can you beat this for bad service?

As Sky has dropped the £10 if you take two of there premium channels. We
decided to pay an extra £3 and have the film package. Telephoned them and
they said they would give me the sports channels free for 3 months. I said
thank you, but no thanks as I never watch sports, just not interested.
I was told I might change my mind so it had been added!
I asked if it would be automatically be taken off at the end of 3 months and
was told no I would have to telephone them to cancel. So I would have to pay
to call you to cancel something I don`t want in the first place?, and was
told if you put it llike that then yes. I then asked to cancel the package
now and was told I would have to have it for one month before it could be
cancelled!!!

Ask to speak to a supervisor and said I could cancel it in a month!!! By
this time as you can image I was getting a mad by now. I told her that
unless it was taken off now I would like to cancel my complete sky
subscription. She went away came back said there seemed to have been a miss
understanding!!!!!!! and it had been taken off. I then complained about the
amount of time I had been on the telephone for no fault of my own and the
way I had been treated and asked for a token gesture, she offered me a month
free of my normal subscription!

Which I took, but wait to see if it happens!!!

Makes you wonder who employ's them!

Sounds exactly like when you visit an electrical shop and they try to
offer you an extended warrantee.

I tell them before I start that if they even mention it, I will walk
straight out of the store - yet on several occasions the mindless drones
tried anyway. One lost sale - haha!

Sadly such selling technique is pretty common practice these days.

I don't think Sky are that unique in doing it like that (giving you
'free' stuff which costs you later if you forget to cancel) but it
doesn't make it any more acceptable.

How to get banned from Dixons?
When spotty youth asks if he can help you, say
"Yes, get me an adult"

Especially when he didn't ask for it in the first place, was given it anyway
and then prevented from cancelling it. Having to phone to cancel something
you've chosen to add is acceptable - in fact, it's preferable as you need to
remember to cancel it.

Well, a certain cable telco (guess which one LOL) charges my mum 2 monthly
bills, one for telephone and the other for television. They consistently
take her tv payment and apply it to her phone account, then cut her tv off.
When they realised their mistake recently, they transferred her phone
account credit to her tv account, then charged her phone account again by
the same amount, turning her phone bill for the month from sub £10 to £40+.
It took me an hour to realise where the mistake lies (it started in June)
and I'm calling them tomorrow - what I'll call them is a different matter.
