Sky+ problems

Hi, I am new to sky plus. I am having a couple of problems, can anyone help.
First. I recorded Casualty for the wife and when I try and play it, nothing
happens and it is impossible to exit from the play screen. I can change the
start and end of where I want to view from but select does nothing and nor
does the sky button. I have to reboot the box to get past it.
Second, sometimes when I press live pause, It goes to the play something I
have already recorded screen instead of live pause. I have tried a hard
reset but it hasn't cured the problem.

Thanks
Tony

This is a bug that many seem to suffer from (not had it myself, yet !)
There's a discussion about it in uk.tech.tv.sky, started on Oct 8
titled "Playback problem with Sky+"

This happens occasionally (I get it about once every 100 or so
recordings). There doesn't seem to be anything you can do about it. If
its happen frequently, you may have a different issue.

Sorry if it sounds obvious, but the pause and play button is the same
button, but you have to press each end of it to get it to do the
different functions. If you press the play end it will - as you seem
to be experiencing - resume playback of the last recorded programme
you were watching. If you want to live pause, you have to press the
"pause" side of the button
