sky + loss of sound , channels 301-3-3, please reply so I can hassle sky
Hey,
Anyone else getting issues with SKY+ and loosing sound after a while on these three movie channels. All other channels remain ok, and it affects recording as well meaning an issue on decoding or something (SKY are giving me the get a new scart cable). Resetting the unit by powering off is getting on my t*ts. Please rely, I want to give SKY some hassel. Cheers Mark |

Same here, the only fix is to reboot. If I reboot (or unplug), is there any danger that I lose recordings on the hard disk? -- Dr. Michael Atkinson, GeoQuest Simulation Software Development Note that email address in the headers is cleared monthly and NOT read. After losing Black Hawk Down for similr reasons I'm a bit miffed with $ky. i dont fink the recordings are effect, i remember before when the sound went i tested a film i recorded and it had no sound. turned dd off and the sound was back on the movie channel and the recording, turned dd back on, reset and the sound was back for both again |
I contacted Sky about the loss of sound on Sky Prem 1 2 3 and they said its
something to do with 5.1 transmissions. If a 5.1 system is connected to the box (like mine) then sound is not played thru the system. Apparently if you select a different output then its ok. This is a know problem and they will be fixing it, apparently. HTH "Colin Bean" wrote in message ... "Reg" wrote in message ... Same here on Sunday night.
