Help with size of boxes reqd please
 

I want to get sky, but she who must be obeyed has decreed that the box must
be so small it doesnt make a huge impact on our lounge.

Anyone have any ideas on where I can compare sizes?

Hi,

all boxes are about the same width as a standard VCR and about 2/3 of the height. How the
bloody hell is that going to impact on the lounge? The dish goes outside!!! Did your wife
make you get a Narrow Screen TV so it didn't impact on the lounge?

What size box you have has little to do with the dimensions of a
receiver.

We have a very small Philips DVD player.

We are hoping to get a SMALL Sky receiver to go next to it. I know Pace make
a small receiver I was just wondering if there were any comparison sites.

The Panasonic DSB-31 is 11.5" wide, 2.5" deep, 10" deep - it fits
perfectly on top of the 14" TV in our kitchen.

The DSB-30 is 13" wide and the same size as most VCRs

Pace do a "minibox" but you might find this is *more* obvious because
the width is different.

My Sony sky box is very low profile compared to other makes but they don't
sell them anymore..

Thanks i have one of those silver Sony boxes here in the garage, but the Mrs
wants small width not height
