What to do with my original box after Sky+ installation
 

I can't find the answer to my question in the FAQ or trawling through
the posts.

I'm getting the Sky+ thing installed next week. I would like to keep
my old box, put it in another room and use it for Free-to-view stuff
(BBC, etc).

Is this possible? If so will the installation guys give me the cables
I may need or can I buy them elsewhere?

I know I can fork out for another subscription for the box with Sky,
but I don't want to as I won't get the use out of it. I just want to
make some use of the old box if I can.
