I want to cancel my SKY subscrition , do I have to wait the
end of the year to cancel the direct debit, or it will be done after 30
days?

If you call today they will cut you off in 30days. If you payment
date is somewhere between this 30 days, you will have to pay part
month until the 30th day.

....unless you're still in your first 12 months of service, in which case
you'd have to wait until the end of the 12 months before you can cancel.

You can cancel before the end of the 12th month but it won't take
effect until then. At one time you couldn't cancel at all until the
end of the 12th month and so were locked into 13 months.
