Looked too staged, obviously because it was scripted.

I think the originals worked because it was vox-pop comments set to the
plasticine creatures and lasted 30 seconds at a time. This is scripted stuff
for 15 minutes at a time.

Chicken Run got tiresome after a while as it went on too long. They should
scrap the idea for a Wallace & Gromit movie and stick to 30 minute episodes.
Why do they think that if we lap up a brief amount that we'll love several
hours' worth?

That looks like the same "Vol.1" that came out ages ago.

dont you mean the old aardman classics dvd? the one play list is the new
series as it says "After 10 long awaited years, Creature Comforts is finally
back with a new series!"
amazon also has it but lists it as part 1, and now has a pic of the box

I looked on Blackstar. Both versions are stated as Vol.1. Oh well, it's not
one I'll be buying.

What makes you think it was scripted? I don't get that impression, although I'm sure the
interviewers take the conversations into certain directions.

I saw the first 15-minute show. The original ads were the sort of things
people might say about every day things (i.e. heating) whereas the people
don't naturally talk about being a caged animal in a zoo.

They weren't talking about being caged animals in a zoo... they were talking about being
circus performers.

Well, that shows how much of an impression it made on me. What I meant was
that it wasn't something you'd expect the average person to talk about and
that's what made it sound scripted.
