Nel September 24th 03 08:14 AM

I've ordered Sky+...

....and I've currently got a digibox which I've had for over 2 years.

When the engineer comes, will he just replace the LNB or will he put a brand
new dish up? I'd like to maybe give my box to my mother as she has a very
poor analogue reception and I reckon I can put the dish up myself and get a
FTV (or is it FTA?) card.

The way I see it is the box (and the dish?) belong to me as I've subscribed
for over the 12 month minimum, so I can do with it what I like.

Is that correct?

TIA

It depends on the state of the dish.

The box was yours from day one.

Putting myself in Sky's shoes and ignorring the current £1 install offer I
could point out that the install prices a

Existing Sky Digital customers £50
New customers £100

and say that the difference in price dictates whether you get a complete
dish install or just an LNB replacement.

Cheers,

Nigel

I do not think the FTV cards are available any more since the BBC went to
unencrypted, as they were paying the bills for the cards.
