So either Sky+ has good taste g or it's a mistake/error/bug, or Sky (ab)using their dominant position as platform provider, software producer, broadcaster & program maker, for some reason. Much as I'd like to think the former; I'm forced to think it is one of the other two. They say (to paraphrase) "never attribute to malice, that which can be explained by incompetence"; but in this case I am forced to wonder... Now I can't actually think of a single reason why they'd want to stop someone recording this programme with Sky+; but I certainly wouldn't put it past Sky to do this kind of thing, if they thought it was in their interests. -- AJP |

Anyone else found that sky1 Friday 8:30 - David Blaine's show won't allow sky+ to set record? It's a health and safety thing. It won't allow you to record it in case you die of boredom watching David Blaine in a box for 44 days... (Seriously, why the hell does he do these stupid things? I completely believe he (or anyone else who put's their mind to it) can survive with an adequate supply of water for 44 days, I just DONT CARE) -- David Taylor "The future just ain't what it used to be." |

Well it's certainly a mystery, how he keeps getting people to give him money to do all of these pointless things. :-) -- AJP |
OT:
Is it not obvious that something 'tragic' will go wrong and the cable will snap/be struck by lightning and box will fall and then sink to the bottom of the Thames and he won't be heard of for exactly 365 days. And then he'll pop up somewhere 'unexpected' like in a box above the Thames. Or am just being completely mental? -- bbk XBL Gamertag - bigbaldkev "Andrew Poulter" wrote in message ... It could well be part of the act to do exactly that so you'll see posts here from those who did take time out to watch it say "See what ya missed" ? Or am just being completely mental? Na,David Blaine is the mental one,Being frozen in that block of ice a while ago...Did'nt/should'nt he have changed his first name to Chill ;-) |
