The more people who email MP's about this farce....
The more people who email thier MP's about this farce the more they will take notice.
So all of you email you local MP and let him know what you think of this farce and how we (FTV viewers), are about to be stitched up by Sky AND C4, C5 and maybe ITV. Do it NOW and let's get all the emails off to them. If you are unsure of you MP's email go to http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/2160988.stm to find out your MP's email address. If we all start doing this, then maybe, just maybe, someone will take notice! |

Looked there for mine, Andrew Hunter Basingstoke, and he doesn't appear to have an email address! As he is to the right of Attila the Hun maybe he doesn't know how to use a computer. |

says... I'll write it the channels do disappear, but then when I wrote to ask why I couldn't be exempt from paying prescription charges, since I'm not on benefits, for drugs that keep me alive, she replied but wasn't about to change anything. For anyone interested, the reason I take them is because of: http://dvdfever.co.uk/aorta.shtml Problem is that the rules for prescription exemptions haven't been changed for decades, and in fact predate a lot of medical advances in conditions that - had they existed at the time - would almost certainly have been included. Maybe you could find some way of inducing diabetes, then you'd be covered for everything :-) Still, an annual pre-payment is better than nothing.... No, four-monthly ones are better, for me at least. It's about £32 for 4 months, and £84 for a year. I get all my tablets in 2-month batches (nice big bag to bring home from the chemist :) and get them at the start, middle and end of a 4-month prepayment certificate. Then I have a two-month gap before needing another one, so it costs me £64 for 12 months (6 batches of tablets), as opposed to £84 for 14 months (7 batches), given the two-month gap). Of course, if I need a prescription during the two-month gap then I'd have to pay separately for it, but then the cost of a 4-month prepayment cert more than covers the cost of just one of those tablet trips. -- Dom Robinson Gamertag: DVDfever dom at dvdfever dot co dot uk /* http://DVDfever.co.uk (editor) /* 933 DVDs, 255 games, 33 videos, 63 cinema films, 69 CDs, laserdiscs & news /* wild at heart, super monkey ball 2, 24, dan's movie digest, daredevil comp TV Hates U: BBC2 & UK Gold: http://dvdfever.co.uk/pressrel/tvhatesu.shtml Big Brother 4 - http://dvdfever.co.uk/reviews/bigbro4.shtml |

Yeah, I used to work in the bit of the NHS that issued this, and we did have a few people who obviously staggered their pre-payments in a similar way. I always find it a bit bogus, though, when you see people on TV complaining along the lines of, "my prescriptions cost £20 (or more) a month!" Means they're either dim (quite possible), or they or the programme-makers are deliberately spinning the subject. |

I think tablets for people should be free if it means that not taking them would cause eventual death, Presumably you also think food should be free for the same reason then? ;-) -- Gareth Kitchener Bedfordshire, England http://www.garethkitchener.org.uk |
