You are _not_ converting RGB to s-video. Your digibox does not deliver s-video on the SCART. You are just delivering composite to your projector. What you need is a proper RGB to s-video convertor or better still an RGB to VGA convertor. These cost 50-100 pounds. -- Nigel Barker Live from the sunny Cote d'Azur |

"Nick Webster" wrote in message . .. In article , says... would this work? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW Probably, if it does what it says. However, I have no idea of the conversion quality (it doesn't 'look' that great). What I do know is that you are taking the best signal the Sky box can produce (RGB) and down-converting it (S-Video). You would be much better up-converting RGB to component. HTH. cheers nick. i suppose what i want is to improve the picture, but not spend too much - the rgb to component lead is very expensive. if i can get a noticeable improvement for about £20 that would do me! i suppose its impossible to tell if this particular box is using the 'true' s-video capability on the projector? maybe its just sending composite? |
