MultiRegion + Optical Out
Hi all,
Am after a multiregion dvd player so the wife can play her Due South dvds, but the 'decent brand' ones i've seen so far (mainly on amazon) dont seem to have an optical out for the audio, just coaxial. Dont want to get into a discussion about the differences between the two, the only reason I would prefer optical is so that my wife can just press "dvd" on the amp remote instead of whatever the coax is labelled as. Any suggestions, £100 would be preferable. TIA, Dave |

You could always buy a learning remote control, and have macros to do all this switching invisibilly. Press "Watch a DVD" and it'll switch the send AV amp "DVD" input, DVD player "Play", then open up the watch a dvd page with often used buttons and controls (volume for AV amp, DVD transport controls) etc |

Any issues with them that I should be aware of, or any recommendations? Cheers, Dave |

Cheers, Dave I have this one at the top of the page: http://www.lektropacks.co.uk/dept.as...68&dept_id=109 It works perfectly fine as far all the time I've used it. £20 though, and you need a free mains socket to plug the power adaptor (not shown) into.
